Most plastic louvers can be fabricated to sizes over 2'x4'.

Important Notes:

  • Sagging may occur with oversized parts.
  • The degree of sagging depends on the environment, material, thickness and overall size.
  • SLP recommends a pre-production sample be purchased and installed to ensure fit and overall function.

Shaving the centers

SLP's Process

1) Shave the center walls for a proper glue seam and then cut the perimeter to size

Add extrusion to outside perimeter 2) Glue the centers together

3) Install an Add-a-Flange around the perimeter to make the piece more rigid.

Trim the flange to a finished part

4) Trim the leg of the Add-a-Flange (if required) to be unseen from below.
